About Us
How perception actually works!
Your eyes are just the camera - they capture light and convert it into electrical signals. But your brain is the director, editor, and interpreter that creates the visual experience you actually "see."
The same blade of grass can appear lighter or darker depending on what surrounds it. Your brain decides what color you "see" based on context and light reflecting to you. Essentially, vision is more like your brain constructing reality based on the data your eyes provide, rather than simply displaying a direct feed from your eyes!
ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL in golf! Your brain processes visual information to execute every shot, so getting the correct visual input is the difference between success and failure on the course.
EYE FATIGUE IS A SILENT GAME KILLER - and most golfers are completely oblivious to how it's sabotaging their performance!
The Brutal Reality: Eye fatigue doesn't just make you tired - it systematically degrades every visual skill your golf game depends on.
When eyes are strained and tired, it triggers a cascade of related symptoms that impact the overall body and well-being. These include headaches, difficulty concentrating, and even neck, back, and shoulder pain. This prolonged physical discomfort and reduced ability to focus contributes to general fatigue and stress levels.
Yet golfers obsess over swing mechanics while ignoring this fundamental performance destroyer.
The Compounding Disaster:
As your eyes fatigue, your brain receives increasingly unreliable data, forcing it to make decisions based on compromised visual input. This creates a downward spiral:
- Poor visual data → Bad decisions → Missed shots → Frustration → More tension → Worse eye fatigue
The Ignored Epidemic: Golfers spend thousands on equipment and lessons but play with strained, overworked eyes that are feeding their brain garbage information. It's like trying to drive with a dirty windshield - you can have the best car in the world, but you're still going to crash.
The Harsh Truth: Most golfers are playing with visually impaired decision-making and don't even realize it. Their eyes are exhausted, their brain is getting bad data, and their scores reflect it.
Eye fatigue isn't just discomfort - it's performance suicide!
POLARIZED LENSES ARE A GOLF PERFORMANCE DISASTER - and the golf-eyewear industry has been misleading players for years!
The Critical Problems:
Green Reading Catastrophe: Polarized lenses eliminate crucial glare and reflective light that golfers need to read grain direction and green undulations. The subtle light reflections off grass blades that indicate grain direction are filtered out completely, leaving you blind to essential putting information.
POLARIZED LENSES CREATE DEPTH PERCEPTION CHAOS
Here's the scientific breakdown of why they sabotage your distance judgment
The Binocular Vision Disruption:
Polarized lenses filter light differently at varying angles, creating inconsistent visual input between your left and right eyes when viewing objects at different distances and positions. Your brain relies on stereoscopic vision (slight differences between what each eye sees) to calculate depth - polarization disrupts this critical process.
Angular Light Filtering Problems: As you move your head or change viewing angles during your golf swing setup:
- Light transmission varies through the polarized filter
- Visual brightness fluctuates between different viewing positions
- Your brain receives conflicting depth cues from the same target
- Distance estimation becomes unreliable because visual input keeps changing
Surface Reflection Elimination: Polarization removes crucial depth cues that your brain uses:
- Grass texture variations that indicate elevation changes
- Shadow gradients that reveal contours and slopes
- Surface reflections that help judge distances to water, sand, and pin positions
The Neurological Impact: Your brain constantly recalibrates depth perception when visual input changes, causing:
- Delayed distance processing
- Reduced confidence in club selection
- Inconsistent approach shot accuracy
Bottom Line:
Polarized lenses force your brain to make depth calculations with compromised and inconsistent visual data - a recipe for distance misjudgment!
LCD Display Interference: Modern golf technology (GPS devices, rangefinders, scorecards) often use LCD screens that become completely unreadable or appear black when viewed through polarized lenses at certain angles.
Shadow Detail Loss: Polarized lenses crush shadow detail that's critical for:
- Reading subtle breaks in putting
- Detecting ball position in rough or sand
- Identifying course hazards and terrain changes
The Industry Deception: Sunglass manufacturers market polarized lenses as "premium" for golf, but they're actually removing visual information your brain needs for peak performance. It's like playing golf with a visual handicap.
Polarized lenses might reduce glare and be great for other applications such as fishing and social activities, but they're sabotaging your ability to read the course accurately!
Visual Alignment = Shot Success:
- Ball position visualization: Your brain needs to see the correct ball placement relative to your stance to make solid contact
- Target line clarity: If you can't clearly visualize the line from ball to target, your brain can't guide your body to execute the shot
- Club face alignment: Your brain relies on visual feedback to square the club face at impact
Course Management Decisions:
- Distance perception: Accurate visual assessment of yardages helps your brain select the right club and swing intensity
- Hazard evaluation: Clear visual reading of bunkers, water, and rough helps your brain calculate risk vs. reward
- Green reading: Your brain interprets slope, grain, and break visually to determine putting line and speed
"While modern apps and rangefinders provide precise yardages, our eyes remain the ULTIMATE validation system that our brain demands before committing to any shot with complete confidence."
Pre-Shot Visualization:
Shot shaping:
- Mentally "seeing" the ball flight (draw, fade, trajectory) programs your brain to execute that exact shot
Landing zone targeting
- Visualizing where you want the ball to land helps your brain coordinate the swing mechanics
Pressure Situations:
- Tunnel vision under pressure can feed your brain incomplete visual information, leading to poor decisions
- Positive imagery: Visualizing successful shots (not the hazards) gives your brain the right "program" to execute
In golf, your brain is constantly making micro-adjustments based on visual input. Feed it accurate, positive visuals, and you'll make better decisions and execute better shots!
Your brain operates on a trust-but-verify principle - even when technology gives you exact numbers, your visual system must confirm and approve that distance before your brain will fully commit to the shot.
The Visual Confirmation Process:
- Your rangefinder says 150 yards, but your eyes scan the target, assess the flag position, evaluate the pin placement, and visually verify that distance feels right
- Your brain cross-references the technological data with your visual experience and muscle memory
- Only when your eyes validate what the technology tells you does your brain give the green light for confident execution
Why Eyes Trump Technology:
- Depth perception provides context that numbers alone cannot
- Environmental factors like elevation, wind, and lighting are processed visually
- Confidence comes from alignment between what you see and what you measure
- Your brain needs visual buy-in to eliminate doubt and execute with conviction
The Result: Technology provides the data, but your eyes provide the confidence. When both systems align, your brain can commit fully to the shot without hesitation or second-guessing.
Bottom line: Rangefinders give you precision, but your eyes give you conviction - and conviction is what separates good shots from great ones!
Visual Detail = Decision Precision: Your brain operates like a high-performance computer - the more detailed visual input it receives, the more precise its output becomes. Every subtle detail you observe feeds into your brain's shot execution algorithm.
Brain Processing Power: When your eyes capture maximum visual information, your brain can:
- Calculate trajectory with pinpoint accuracy
- Coordinate muscle memory for optimal swing mechanics
- Eliminate variables that create doubt and inconsistency
- Execute with confidence because all systems are aligned
The Mechanical Result: Rich visual detail transforms into flawless mechanical execution - your brain has everything it needs to guide your body through the perfect swing sequence, club face alignment, and follow-through.
BOTTOM LINE
The more your eyes see, the more precisely your brain can direct your body to execute each shot with mechanical perfection. Visual detail is the foundation of consistent, accurate golf!

Mass production - Polarizing films, UV filters, anti-reflective coatings, mirror coatings are applied by adding thin layers of material or by laminating it onto existing lens surfaces. These delaminate over time and can potentially lead to optical distortion.
Color Manipulation – Different “HD” colors are being created by colored film being layered onto the thin lenses to manipulate the visual.
UV protection – Film is applied to thin material for UV protection. Often polarized film to eliminate glare.
Individually cast lenses – liquid lens material (our special Krisp Extreme™mix) is individually poured into a mold insuring even unified distribution of the material, then heated which allows the lens material to solidify and harden over a long period. The slower curing helps to reduce internal stresses, resulting in a lens with extreme optical clarity.
Technology – We use the process of Spectral Filtration - While filtering harmful wavelengths, we manage visible light to enhance the colors you need in your decision-making process. We also elevate contrast and depth perception, resulting in a clearer and more vivid view. Think of it this way – Just as an equalizer fine-tunes sound frequencies, we do with light wavelengths.
UV protection - the protection is built into the lens itself, not just added as a coating. Our lenses naturally filter out 100% of UV light. This means the UV protection is integrated throughout the lens material, rather than relying solely on a surface coating.
